Winding Down

Today I will finish my education for the semester (or what has taken over my life the last few weeks). Derek will be finished next week. Life has been...Busy, to say the least. School, and work, and singing, and well, you know how it goes. I am excited for a month of freedom and relaxation to spend with family and friends. I love this time of year and am looking forward to my mom being off work and playing with me for a week and Derek being off work and playing with me the week after. I want to savor every moment of this December and hope to have a lot of time to serve and be with loved ones. In short...life is winding down, the busy days have been good and the days to follow can only be better!

Let's get together again!

Tuesday night began by seeing our "house", well the house that we decided to put an offer on. By the time we fed Derek, arrived home, and I did homework it was beyond bed time. Wednesday I taught Zumba which was so fun! I then came home and we signed all of the paperwork in order to put an offer on the house. More homework until midnight and bedtime again.....Thursday Derek was off work. I was up at 6:15 a.m. doing homework and we each left around 8 am. Derek to his friend Clint's sealing at the Salt Lake Temple and me... to school. I gave a speech at school and once we both arrived home we had 2 hours together. It felt like the only time we have seen each other this week! Then...we headed toward Salt Lake. Derek went to Clint's wedding reception and I went to perform at Brighton Bank's Christmas party. Luckily, Derek made it to the party for dinner and to hear me sing. Home and Bed! Today I am off to judge a male beauty pageant and school. Maybe one day Derek and I will be reunited....sigh.

We heart Weekends!

What a terrific weekend! I had the pleasure of directing the Centerville Elementary Choir in their first performance of the season!!!! They all did terrific and I was soooooo proud! Derek and I then went to browse for more houses and found one we are interested in. We are taking our families to see it tomorrow and then perhaps...making an offer. We had my parents for dinner this evening and it was fun to have people over. Now its Law and Order and snuggling on the couch. Ahhh. Still a few more hours until Monday.

Zumba,Townhomes, Jobs, and a Christmas Choir

What do Zumba, Townhomes, Jobs, and a Christmas Choir have in common? They all relate to Derek and Samantha Wursten.
- I am teaching Zumba at Elite Dance in Centerville starting Nov. 10th. I am so excited!!!! Tell all of your friends about me. The 10th will be a free trial, so everyone should take advantage.
- Derek and I are checking out a townhome on Saturday and having our annual Halloween Party that night. We aren't sure if we are ready to move yet, but we are hoping in the near future it might be an option.
- As I said, I have a new Zumba job and Derek is looking into a higher position at Wells Fargo. He hates when I announce that, but he is so good at his job, I have no doubt he will get this new one.
- I am also doing the most fun project this year!!! I am the Christmas Choir director at Centerville Elementary. We have a big group of kids and they are so much fun. I had a little girl tell me as if it were a CRUCIAL thing, that I needed to lead the choir with a wand. Each of the kids have such fun personalities and they make my day everytime I teach. It is amazing how kids can brighten your day!

So... all in all, life is sweet, Halloween is here, and we are ready for the new opportunities ahead.

Great Week!

It has been a busy week, and it is only Tuesday. I am the Choir director at Centerville Elementary for their Christmas Choir and we had our first practice yesterday. I also had a job interview at a gym that turned into an audition today...which went AWESOME. Derek has taken some days off this week for fall break, and I cannot wait to spend time with him. We will hopefully be going to a murder mystery dinner on Friday night, and we are preparing for our own annual murder mystery dinner. The rest of the week will continue to be busy...and GREAT!

I know, I know not much goes on with us. Just Kidding. I think it's that too much goes on with us! In August we went to Oregon with Derek's Family and we had a lot of fun! I am now AFAA and Zumba certified and am looking for some fitness jobs. I just Sang at the Utah State fair in September. Derek is busy going to work and school full time. His classes are not nearly as fun as mine. We are looking forward to our annual Halloween Murder Mystery and Derek's Birthday on the 21st as well. Other than that, not too much more is going on in the Wursten home. We miss seeing each other due to our busy schedules, but love the time we have. Life is SO GOOD!

The BLOG

And so it has begun...Having visted my sweet sister in law's amazingly fun blog and recently seeing the movie Julie and Julia, the thought of a blog has become enticing. So, to the dismay of my darling husband I will now be keeping you informed about the goings on of Derek and Samantha. Yay!
